What this site records about a visit, what it does not, and how to turn the counting off. Last changed 22 September 2026.

What you type into a calculator

The arithmetic runs in your browser. Your dimensions, prices and options are written into the page address, so that a bookmark or a shared link reopens the same sheet, and they are left out of what the site sends to Google Analytics. Like any web address, a link that carries them is received by our host when someone opens it.

Google Analytics

Every page loads Google Analytics 4, once the page has finished loading or at your first scroll, tap or key press. It is how we count visits and see which sheets are used. It receives the page you are on without its calculator values, the page title, the page you came from, and basic interactions such as starting to fill in a calculator. Google Analytics also records the kind of device and browser you use and an approximate location derived from your connection. Google explains what it does with this data on its page How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

It sets two first-party cookies on this domain, _ga and _ga_DP3Z59Q6Q2, which let it tell a returning browser from a new one.

Visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are the exception. For them, the site tells Google Analytics that storage for analytics and for advertising is refused, and nothing on the site changes that answer. Google Analytics then sets and reads neither cookie; the page view described above still reaches it, without them. Google works out the country from your connection.

Turning it off

A content blocker that blocks Google Analytics stops the counting, and the calculators keep working without it. Google also publishes the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

What else is stored

If you switch between the light and dark themes, the choice is kept in your browser's local storage under tm-theme. It never leaves your device. There are no accounts, no sign-up forms and no advertising on the site.

Hosting

The site is static files served by Vercel. Like any web server, it receives your IP address, the address you requested and your browser type in order to send the page.
